Computer Aided Manufacturing
By now, CAM has become a household word. We started working with it more than 15 years ago. This technique was used to read contours from the product data that are difficult to program.
Nowadays, more and more products are drawn using 3D drawing programs. Among these are: Inventor, Solid edge, Unigraphics, Catia etc. At STT, we use advanced CAM packages that enable CNC operators to read CAD information directly from various different systems.
This is why we encourage our customers to deliver product drawings digitally (3D) whenever possible. If you wish, we can also convert your flat drawings (2D) into 3D.
At present, practically all machines are controlled by CAM.
